    4 digits implies 0000 to 9999

    -that’s 10,000 possibilities

    But the first digit cannot be 5, so 5000 – 5999 are out.

    That leaves 9,000 possibilities.

    The requirement for the last digit to be 0 2 4 6 8 (not 1 3 5 7 9) halves the possibilities again.

    So I think the answer is 4,500<<<<

    9X10X10X5 = 4,500

    9 * 10 * 10 * 5 = 4500

    Here we have,

    5 x x 0 = 100 codes

    5 x x 2 = 100 codes

    5 x x 4 = 100 codes

    5 x x 8 = 100 codes

    Total Codes = 400 CODES >==============< ANSWER

    0-10=10 digits that can be used
    (9)(10)(10)(6)=5400 ways

    9*10*10*5 = 4500
